Robin A. Hanson, PhD is the founder, provost, and dean of the Galiah Institute of Spirituality and Wellness. She is an educator and scholar whose work bridges spirituality, consciousness studies, and lived human experience, grounded in a multidisciplinary academic background that includes a PhD in American Studies and graduate work in anthropology and archaeology. With more than a decade of experience in higher education, she has taught across a wide range of disciplines, including cultural anthropology, sociology, archaeology, and Western civilization, working with both classroom and online learners. Her teaching is informed by a commitment to making complex ideas accessible while maintaining intellectual rigor and depth. Her scholarship and public work have focused on memory, cultural landscapes, and the ways in which individuals and communities construct meaning through experience, history, and place. Through publications, presentations, and ongoing research, she has explored how people interpret the past and engage with questions that sit at the intersection of the material and the symbolic. At the Galiah Institute, she brings this background into a different kind of educational space—one that values inquiry alongside experience. As founder and academic lead, she shapes the Institute’s curriculum, teaching model, and intellectual direction, creating programs that are structured, reflective, and grounded in real engagement. Her work emphasizes clarity, accessibility, and the understanding that meaningful learning develops over time through thoughtful exploration.

I am Jamelle, owner and operator at Bare Roots Energy, here in Lawrence, Kansas. I am a Lifestyle & Behavior Change Coach, a practitioner and teacher of the Energy Healing Arts. I founded Bare Roots Energy Reiki & Meditation Center here in Lawrence, KS, in 2019, and specialize in the integration of Daily Wellness Practices and Healing Paths into the daily lives of my clients. Through this work, I assist individuals in fine-tuning their expression for creation and harmony, healing, and growth.​​ I have practiced energy awareness and whole-person wellness since my childhood, studied and taught the intricacies of anxiety, depression, and overwhelm as an educator since 2008, and now focus my work and skills on coaching clients through wellness and life-changing shifts. I am so passionate about the work that I do because of the profound change it has brought into my life and body, and into the lives of those I help each day. Through my work, I connect with individuals to understand their needs and dreams, and together we forge a path and plan to create a platform of healing and growth for them to springboard from. When we approach both trauma and goals from all four sides, the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual, we can better see all our options as well as what we have yet to heal from to realize our dreams. My favorite part of working in this field is getting to know those I work with deeply to help them fine-tune their journey with the unique tools they need. Along with Personal Coaching and Healing, I also offer courses in the Energy Healing Arts and Plant-Based Medicine, and certification programs for Energy Healers in training. Aside from my degrees in Special Education and Education Theory, I have trained as a Master Reiki Teacher and Healer, and as a High Priestess in the New Earth Priestess Studies with the Celestial Forest Institute. I am a Master Teacher and Practitioner of Usui Reiki Ryoho, Holy Fire Reiki, and Dragon Reiki; an Advanced Practitioner and Teacher of Source Light Infusion Therapy; an Advanced Practitioner of the Crystalline Consciousness Technique; a Behavior Change Coach; a Plant-Based Medicine Consultant; and a Special Education Teacher.
